Curds, Fries & Gravy and nothing else! Our classic!
For your authentic three-serving poutine experience, you'll need:
Cooking time: approx. 20 min. Depending on the choice and preparation of your fries.
Optional: We recommend fresh herbs, such as some parsley, for decoration. In Québec itself, however, you will hardly find any decoration on the classic poutine. The three basic ingredients are all you need here!
Take the cheese curds out of the fridge about 1 hour before eating so that they can reach room temperature.
Prepare French Fries according to instructions. You are completely free to choose which fries you want to use. We use a potato with its skin on, which gives the fries a nice color and enhances the taste experience.
Stir 50 g Original Poutine Gravy sauce powder into 0.5 l boiling water and boil for 1-2 minutes.
Place the crispy french fries on the plate, top with the cheese curds and pour hot Poutine Gravy over them.
(Optional) Step #5: Decorate with herbs if you like.
